Jacqueline de Vauvenargues (1959)
Picasso frequently painted Jacqueline Roque, who was 46 years younger, in profile — like in ‘‘Jacqueline de Vauvenargues’’ (1959) — because it reminded him of an Algerian woman whom he admired in a Delacroix painting.
